In 1940, sisters Thom and Mars build 'Lola', a device that can receive radio and TV signals from the future. What starts as fun, sharing broadcasts with others, changes dramatically as war comes to Britain with dire consequences for everyone. An inventive piece of micro-budget science fiction, the film is presented as a documentary, in flickery black and white, using edited newsreel and ostensibly old, found footage. Suspend disbelief and enjoy this unusual venture into alternative reality.
