During the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, an American sports broadcasting team must adapt to news coverage when the Israeli team is taken hostage by a terrorist group. The film is set almost entirely in the studio, 100 metres from the unfolding events, which they film live and we are treated to a suspenseful drama of media in crisis, interlaced with archive footage and some strong performances, notably from John Magaro and Leoni Benesch. It is only Magaro's character, Geoffrey Mason, who raises any ethical issues and so the question remains - should this have been broadcast live at all? Make up your own minds!
