The story of an art theft, 'The Duke' stole the limelight at the Venice film festival. Roger Michell's delightful true-life caper comes bolstered by a terrific lead performance by Jim Broadbent. In 1961 Kempton Benton, a 60 year old taxi driver, stole Goya's painting of the Duke of Wellington from the National Gallery in London. Kempton then sent ransom notes saying he would return the painting in exchange for pensioners having free TV licences. What happened next is the stuff of legend!
