War veteran Will and his teenage daughter, Tom, have been living peacefully ‘off-the-grid' for years in the forests of Portland, Oregon, when a small mistake leads to them being discovered. Their idyllic life is shattered as social services take over their care. After clashing with their new surroundings, they set off on a difficult journey back to their wild homeland. This is a powerful, yet understated film, which is as much about Tom growing up as it is about Will’s yearning for isolation.
