Tangerine

The First Estonian feature film to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, Tangerines is set during the 1992/93 war in Abkhazia and tells of a tangerine farmer who finds himself having to offer tense hospitality to one wounded fighter from each side. Played beautifully, with humour and compassion, this film is a morality tale addressing issues of conflict and reconciliation.
